I understand that this retreat includes, but is not limited to, guided meditation, sound bath experiences, reflective exercises, educational teachings, group discussions, embodiment practices, and other wellness-based activities. These offerings are intended for educational, personal growth, and relaxation purposes only.
2. Not Therapy or Medical Care
I understand that this retreat is not psychotherapy, counselling, mental health treatment, or medical care. Participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship with Janice Lewis or Roadside Therapies. No diagnosis, treatment, or individualized therapeutic advice is being provided. If I require medical, psychological, or psychiatric care, it is my responsibility to seek support from a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Crisis Disclaimer
I acknowledge that this retreat is not intended for individuals in an active mental health crisis. If I am experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicidal ideation, or a medical emergency, I understand I should contact local emergency services, call 911, or an appropriate crisis support line immediately (call or text 988).
4. Emotional & Physical Response Acknowledgment
I acknowledge that participation in retreat activities may evoke emotional responses, physical sensations, memories, psychological shifts, or other internal experiences. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and accept full responsibility for my emotional, mental, and physical well-being. I agree to listen to my body and honour my physical limitations; if any movement or breathing exercise causes pain or significant discomfort, I will stop immediately.
5. Confidentiality & Privacy
I agree to maintain the strict confidentiality of all participants. I will participate from a private location where others cannot overhear or see the screen. I agree not to record, screenshot, or share any portion of the retreat, nor will I disclose personal information shared by other attendees in group discussions.
6. Audio/Visual Recording & Commercial Use
I understand and agree that the Facilitator may record the entirety or portions of this retreat in audio, video, and/or photographic formats. By participating, I grant Janice Lewis and Roadside Therapies the irrevocable, royalty-free, and worldwide right to use, edit, and publish my image, likeness, and voice for any professional purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, promotional content on social media (such as Instagram), marketing materials, and the creation of digital products for future sale. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product and understand I will not receive any financial compensation for the use of such recordings. I am strictly prohibited from making my own recordings of the session.
7. Virtual Participation & Personal Responsibility
I am responsible for ensuring a safe physical environment, appropriate seating or resting arrangements, and adequate technology access. I acknowledge the Facilitator is not responsible for technical disruptions, internet connectivity issues, or equipment failures on my end. I am responsible for my personal property and equipment used during participation.
8. Code of Conduct & Right to Remove
I agree to engage respectfully and professionally with the Facilitator and other attendees. I understand that harassment, discrimination, disruptive behaviour, or conduct that compromises the safety, well-being, or integrity of the retreat space will not be tolerated. I acknowledge the Facilitator reserves the right to remove me if my behaviour is disruptive or unsafe, without refund.
9. Release of Liability & Waiver of Negligence
I release and hold harmless Janice Lewis and Roadside Therapies from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to my participation in this retreat, including but not limited to emotional distress, physical injury, or unforeseen outcomes, even if such claims arise from the NEGLIGENCE of Janice Lewis or Roadside Therapies.
10. Force Majeure
I acknowledge the Facilitator is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, illness, government restrictions, power outages, or platform/technology failures.
11. No Refund Policy
I understand that all registrations are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, missed attendance, or partial participation under any circumstances.
12. Governing Law
I agree that this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
13. Agreement

To protect the privacy and confidentiality of all participants, I understand that the group sessions will not be recorded by the Facilitator. I am strictly prohibited from making my own audio or video recordings, taking screenshots, or capturing images of the session or other participants. I acknowledge that any violation of this privacy requirement may result in my immediate removal from the group without refund.
7. Confidentiality & Group Respect
I agree to maintain the strict confidentiality and privacy of all group members. I agree that any personal information, stories, or experiences shared within the group are to be held in sacred trust and must not be discussed, disclosed, or shared outside of the session. While the Facilitator is committed to fostering a safe environment and expects all members to honour this agreement, I acknowledge that the Facilitator cannot ultimately guarantee or be held liable for the conduct of other participants once the session has concluded.
